[Adam had a boyfriend now. He hadn't dated all that much, not because he was never interested but- it was complicated, more often than not. But this- he was determined to make it work, for however long it lasted. He hoped Kavinsky wouldn't get bored with him anytime soon.

For a half-second, he felt a rise of alarm and curiosity when the other boy undid his necklace, but- he relaxed again as soon as Kavinsky said it wasn't a gift. It would be weird to think about him without the gold chain, even for a day, but. It was also a sweet gesture. As if Adam would have trouble thinking about him. As if he'd be able to think of very much besides Kavinsky after all of this. Especially after kissing him.

He nodded.]

Okay. I'll take good care of it until tomorrow.

[He smiled, and maybe someone would have expected him to be shy about flirting or to blush again. He might have blushed earlier, but- now that he knew this wasn't a prank, that Kavinsky was serious- he felt more comfortable and confident.]

All you have to do is ask.

[Was asking sexy? Would it ruin a mood? He wasn't sure; he'd never been in that sort of situation before. He also meant- he meant if Kavinsky liked it, he would remember that. A little something to surprise him with now and then.]
