[Adam hadn't exactly been expecting anything out of the ordinary when he'd approached the boy. It wasn't the first time he'd found someone like this- or so he thought. The idea of not helping didn't really cross his mind as something he would actually do, closer to a 'what if' situation. If he didn't, there would be death. So he took the boy to where the ley line was stronger, because Adam knew what nightwashing looked like.
Once they were there though, Adam parked and cut the engine. It was much easier to talk without the rumbling in their ears. Gently, he cupped the side of Elijah's face, if the other boy allowed him to, tipping his head a little to check the status of his nightwash and his eyes.
He didn't verbally answer the thanks, though he did modestly shrug a shoulder. He'd only done what he would have wanted someone else to do for him.]
